Political Science is the study of American government, the principles and institutions that make up the U. S. political system. Political Science 1 is offered both as an online class and on-campus class. If you are registered for the class you need to establish your access to Angel Learning before the semester begins. Please do so immediately.
The text for both the online and on-campus class is American Government and Politics Today by Shelly and Schmidt and is available at our bookstore.

Note: You will need a computer with Internet Access and an Email account. If you do not have a computer of your own, you can use the Technology Center at West Valley College and they will provide you with an Email account. It is absolutely essential that a student have an email account and access to the Internet. You will need computer literacy sufficient to navigate the web, be facile with Email, and be able to create and send a Word document.
