Question:Stanford University has an historical sense of place that has been carried forth by each new building and its materials. Write about one or more of the buildings we look at and how well or how it does not respond to the sense of place that you feel when you want around the campus. Give special emphasis to the use of materials. (500 words)

Question:The Center is a collage of different functions, users, materials. Do you think the architects succeeded in weaving all these elements together? Do you think the vocabulary they chose to use was successful or should the complex been design as more than a homogeneously? (500 words)

Question: The reading for this field trip made the statement that in a platimum lead building "Nothing is just aesthetic." (the classic functionist argument) In comparision there is a look to green building and its use of materials. Take one of these positions and discuss the look of the substanability base and the materials it used.(500 words)
