ENGR 021 Computing Fundamentals
Final Exam Information
> WHEN: Monday, December 8, 2014, 6:30-8:30 PM, two (2) hours.

> WHERE: Normal classroom, room V-8.

> Four (4) problems of the following nature (approximate solution times shown for guidance, but individual problems are not timed):

No. 1: Short-answer questions, 15 min.

No. 2: Write EXACT output for one or two program fragments, 15 min.

No. 3: Given a small problem description, write a short, executable function (not a complete program) with comments documenting your code, 20 min.

No. 4: Given a larger problem description, write a longer, complete, executable program with comment documenting each section of code, 40 min.

Expected time: 1 hr 40 min.

IMPORTANT! checking, review time: 20 min.

TOTAL TIME: 2 hr 00 min.

Like the previous quizzes that were given during the course, the final exam is OPEN-TEXTBOOK, CLOSED-NOTES. No materials shall be on your desk except for the course textbook, calculator, and writing/drawing tools. The back of the exam pages may be used for scratch calculations if needed. There can be no sharing of textbooks, calculators, or any other materials.

Seating locations will be randomly shuffled at the start of the exam.

Graded Exams will be mailed to you immediately after grading only if an extra large, self-addressed, adequately stamped envelope is provided at the final exam session. Letter size envelopes are not acceptable.

In the event that a mailing envelope is NOT provided, graded exams can be picked up at next semester's ENG 21 class (see schedule) during the first two weeks of next semester for any student who calls or emails me to set up an appointment at that time (contact information provided on your opening day handout). Unless prior instructions for disposition of your exam have been given to me, unclaimed final exams will be recycled within TWO WEEKS.

Final course grades can be shown on the final exam cover page if explicitly requested in writing by the student on the cover page. Grades are NOT provided by the instructor over the phone nor email, but the Admissions and Records Office will make grades available as announced.
