How does this online class work?
There are no on-campus classroom sessions scheduled for Survey of Western Art 1B Online. Therefore, there is no face-to-face contact with other students or the instructor. All instruction happens online.
What you will need:
1. First, be sure you are registered for the course through West Valley College.
2. A Computer
You will need a computer with an internet browser. If you do not own a computer, you may use one at the West Valley College Technology Center for the whole semester for a $5 fee. You must use Internet Explorer. See Browser Problems below below.
3. E-Mail
All required communication between the instructor and students in this class is via e-mail within WebCT.
4. Internet Access
Most topics you will be learning about have links to sites on the Internet. A basic knowledge of how to use Internet explorer is required to link to the sites. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can search the web using one of the computers in the Technology Center at West Valley College.
