BEHAVIORAL CODES

R.txt ch = read chapters in the The New Psychology of Women (Lips text)

R.supp_online = read selected chapters in Modern Sexism (Benokraitis & Feagin), Gender, Culture and Ethnicity (Peplau, selected articles given to you online; no purchase of book required)The Technology of Orgasm (Maines) or The Wisdom Paradox (Goldberg)

ch = chapter

HW = homework on chapters in the The New Psychology of Women (Lips text); HWch1 means homework on chapter 1.

Q = quizzes are only on chapters in the The New Psychology of Women (Lips text) and class lectures; Qch1 means a quiz on chapter 1 (includes lecture questions).

IWA = individual writing assignment in normal format that is not chapter homework.

TWA = team writing assignment in threaded discussion format; TWA1 means team writing assignment 1.

DVD = view DVDs at the West Valley College Library or rent it (Netflix, iTunes or Blockbuster or equivalent) and watch it at home.

DVD.online = Einstein's Wife (sequential sections can be substituted for the Web Exploration portion of the weekly homework)

Days 9, 18 & 29 are Magic Days or grace periods where late assignments can be submitted without penalty (see Syllabus for details).
