Philosophy 1
Introduction to Philosophy Spring 2007 ONLINE
Instructor: Sandra LaFave
This course introduces philosophical problems and various approaches to their
solutions.
You will learn about selected systems of Western philosophy. I will emphasize how
philosophy is relevant to issues of daily life. The course will explore answers to such
questions
as: What is reality? What can we know? What, if anything, makes persons more
important
than non-persons? Are human acts free or determined?
What, if anything, makes an act right or wrong?
