Biology 47 - Reading List - Fall 2017

Detailed Textbook Reading List (Martini 9th edition)

NOTE: the textbook contains a wealth of information, so much so that it can be overwhelming at times. While all of the information provided in the text is valuable and can benefit you and your understanding of anatomy, some may be omitted without negative consequences. The following table lists the sections from each chapter that should be read (containing information that is important for your success) and sections that may be safely omitted (do not contain information you must know). IMPORTANT: the course manual lists all of the structures you must know. Refer to the manual while reading the text to identify and highlight (both in the text of the chapter and the figures) all of the structures listed in the manual.
