FRENCH 1B-HOMESTUDY

SCHEDULE OF ASSIGNMENTS

Remember that assignments count 25% of the semester grade. Late assignments will be marked down significantly. You may turn assignments in early if you'd like to get the corrected exercises back to study before the following exam.

Assignments are all due on a Monday, unless otherwise noted. If the Language Laboratory is closed when you want to drop off an assignment, you can leave it in the instructor's mailbox in the Language Arts Office. Be sure to write the date you turn it in on the top page.

Remember that, unlike many subjects, language learning requires steady, consistent study and practice. You cannot cram all of the learning you need to do into a couple of days on the weekend. Language skills are not developed in that manner. Language learning is a cumulative process; you build on top of what you did the day before. You cannot learn a language without spending the time necessary to master the material.

(1) In general, you'll have two weeks to complete each chapter assignment. Extra time has been allotted for review prior to each exam. However, in order to do thisand not assign work over Spring Breakit was necessary to shorten the time for completing Chapter 9. If you must, you can turn in Chapter 9 late without penalty, but you'll then need to spend a significant amount of time during the break working on Chapter 10.
