Basic Design

This is an introductory course to study the principles and elements of two-dimensional design.

The class covers exercises in visual awareness.

We will explore the use of line, shape, space, pattern, texture and color.

Vocabulary and ideas will be presented as tools with which the artist can most effectively solve problems and manipulate two-dimensional space.

This class uses traditional and digital media to explore design principles.
