French 1B-Homestudy
PRELIMINARY ASSIGNMENT
Note:
Directions on where to turn your assignments in are given in your course Study
Guide. If you didn�t purchase a Study Guide, you can find the information in Essential Course Information online.
All
of the course handouts given out during the course orientation, can also be
found online and printed out. However they cannot be submitted online. Turn in
your assignments to the Language Laboratory, room LA27, according to the
directions given in the Study Guide. If you aren�t taking other classes on
campus, or if it is inconvenient to drop the assignments off in person, you can
mail them to:
If you would like to have your
corrected assignment returned by mail, please include a stamped, self-addressed
manila envelope.
Preliminary Assignment:
1.
Complete the Student Information Sheet and turn it in to the
instructor as soon as possible. This form was given out during the course
orientation. If you don�t have the form, you can print it out from the online
link, but you can�t submit it online.
2.
Read over the
information in the course syllabi for French
1B-Homestudy and French
11B (lab).
3.
Put the dates listed in
the Schedule of Assignments on your calendars.
These dates are important. Late assignments will be marked down and make-up
exams will not be given except for very extenuating circumstances.
4.
Read over pages 1-20 in
the course Study Guide. If you didn�t purchase the Study Guide, you can read
the information in Essential Course Information
online.
5.
Once you�ve read over
the introductory information, take the Introductory
Quiz. This quiz was given out during the course orientation. If you
don�t have the form, you can print it out from the online link, but you can�t
submit it online.
Turn
in both the Student Information Sheet and the Introductory Quiz as soon as
possible, but no later than the date indicated on the Schedule
of Assignments.
Preliminary Assignment #2: The Verb Review Unit
____ 1. Study the material in the Verb Review Unit (which begins on page 21 of the printed Study Guide).
____ 2. Do the review exercises and correct them.
____ 3. When you've finished all of the exercises, complete the Verb Review Mastery Test . Turn in only the Mastery Test ; don't turn in the review exercises themselves. The Mastery Test will count as a separate assignment and is worth 20 points.
