Biology 41 - Principles of Animal Biology

Course Books:
A number of books are required in this course. These will help you to study the material we are covering throughout the semester. Remember that books are study tools and not meant to be passed on to your grandchildren. They are windows into the fascinating field of biology. USE them! Read them!

Getting the books: Several options are available to you.

Course Books
  • West Valley Campus: You can use our excellent bookstore located on West Valley campus and purchase the items directly. The bookstore also provides an online service in case you do not want to go there in person (WVC bookstore). You can reserve the books to pick them up later or make arrangements for home delivery.
  • Students from previous semesters: Some students do not keep their texts. Keep your eyes open for ads on bulletin boards across campus. Ask around! Chances are that you can get a great deal from a fellow student.
  • Ordering online (new or used): Book prices are always increasing. Many students turn to Amazon.com or Half.com or other sites on the internet (see bottom of page) to find the required books. Keep in mind that it can take several days to weeks for books to arrive depending on where they are ordered from. It is your responsibility to access the reading material. However, one can save a lot of money by getting used copies. Besides, used books is a sustainable and green alternative to consuming new books!!!!  The following books are being used in our course:
