Welcome to Professor Kelly'sDistance Learning Home Page!!
A common myth is that online courses are easier than traditional in-class courses. This is false!!!!! Indeed, you will find yourself putting in much more time with an online class than through the traditional in-class setting. Successful Distance Learning students report that they spend 2-3 hours each week for each hour of credit for a course. That means spending 6-8 hours EACH WEEK for this 3 unit class. In short, online courses are not for everyone. It requires a real commitment to self-discipline. To learn more about preparing for a Distance Learning class, read How to Succeed in an Online Course. You can also take the distance learning skills survey to see if this kind of academic setting is right for you. I'm not trying to discourage you from taking this course. But you need to be totally committed to what is involved. Are you ready to learn more about the course, including taking a test drive? Choose from the selections below or from the navigation bars above.
